Cap rail finishes the top edge of a glass railing panel. It protects the exposed edge, ties a run of panels into one line, and in most jurisdictions is what makes a glass balustrade read as a handrail.
The rubber is what grips the glass inside the cap, and it is sized to the glass, not to the rail — 1/2" here. Order it in the same length as the rail so the gasket runs continuous; a joined gasket shows through the cap.
Cap rail ships in Chrome Polished, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black and Satin Brass where the finish applies. Stock is held in Medley and quantities on each product page are live, so what you see is what is on the shelf. We also distribute C.R. Laurence Interior Systems and U.S. Aluminum Entrance Systems.
